TEMPO articles now subject to customs tax as it is allegedly foreign-funded
JAKARTA - Being allegedly foreign-funded, the Customs and Excise Directorate General notified the head of the National Desk of TEMPO, Stefanus Pramono, that all articles that show the ugly side of government are now subject to customs tax. “We want to show the public that all imported products are subject to rightful tax”, says an unnamed customs officer at Terminal 2 security checkpoint in an interview, as he was trying to pry open a big suitcase full of clothes belonging to a Master’s student returning from Berlin. “I was informed that their articles pass through the airport, as many smuggled items do. I must find them first before the others can extort those reporters”. At the time of the writing of this article, Mr Pramono declined an interview with The Trowulan Reviews, as we were told he was busy reducing the amount of words in upcoming publications, as customs want to charge the tax based on article length.
